We are restoring a 1970 commer police van/ ambulance for a customer, the van has been seen on TV in shows such as Red Riding, The Royal and Heartbeat. As you can see there is alot of work to be done- we have had to completely re-build all the structural work, weld and repair all the floor/ metalwork, build, fibreglass and paint all the window surrounds/ trims, fit new bulkhead, we have had some new windows made- and lots more!We have also done all the neccessary mechanical work to get it back on the road- new brakes, re-jet and set up the carb to suit the new exhaust and air filter etc. We plan on doing a full restoration for the customer which will include kitting the back of the van out to the specification of a 1960's/1970's ambulance and painting the outside of the van to the specification of a 1960's/1970's police van!
As you can see we have completely re-built the van from the ground up, we still have alot of work to do but we are looking forward to seeing the end result!
